- CAIR: Why the Hate?
The newsobserver.com
recently ran an article about the on-going aid to tsunami victims in
In the article, Nihad Awad, CAIR’s Executive Director, is quoted as saying:
"Just when our
nation's image in the Islamic world was improving as a result of the
outpouring of American aid in the tsunami disaster area, we hear from
those who would
exploit the tragedy to advance their own extremist agenda…"
Awad infers the aid to be provided by Christian groups is a plot to advance their own “extremist agenda”. However, he didn’t tell us just what is extremist about providing information on Jesus Christ, who is revered in both Christianity and Islam.
CAIR constantly reminds Americans how similar Islam and Christianity are...
Really?
If so, then Awad should be calling Christian groups and offering his congratulations to them for providing help CAIR's own Muslim brothers have long denied.
The
Muslim rulers and imams of countries like Saudi Arabia and Iran
literally have gold plated bathroom fixtures in their palaces, while
the average Muslim lives in squalor and poverty. Saudi Arabians
have given more money to blow up Jewish children eating pizza in Israel
than they have given to clothe or provide health care for Muslim
children suffering due to the
tsunami. What does this say about the
Muslim leadership?
And what does Awad's
criticisms of Christians who are
helping the poor tell us about CAIR?
It seems, in our opinion, that
CAIR is perfectly willing to preach interfaith unity, and work with
Christians and Jews, but only when doing so increases, in CAIR's
opinion, "Islamic" power and influence in the United States.
To us, the evidence is clear
that CAIR turns on Christians and Jews, and screams racism or
discrimination, whenever Christians or Jews deviate from CAIR-directed
and CAIR-approved behavior, even if the "racist and discriminatory" act
is feeding and clothing poor and
hungry Muslims, who have been ignored by their
co-religionists.
There’s a word for
that: hypocrisy.
