CAIR
Condemns Jersey City Murders ... Nobody Notices
On January 13, 2005, Newsday.com reported on an interfaith meeting
between Christian and Muslim leaders concerning the Armanious
murders in Jersey City last month.
The Council on American-Islamic
Relations (CAIR) linked to the story in a press release of theirs on
the same date.
Anti-CAIR (ACAIR)
notes that not only was NO CAIR representative present at this
interfaith meeting, but that there are NO quotes of CAIR spokesmen or
any reference at all to the well-known Islamist group in this
article.
Additionally, ACAIR
notes with great interest that a “condolence note” from the New Jersey
chapter of CAIR to the Armanious family and the Coptic community was
ignored by the press as well.
We can only hope that this is the
beginning of a trend among the mainstream media to discount or ignore
CAIR's rantings. It has always been our opinion that there is
evidence that CAIR and its leaders have supported Hamas and other
terrorists, and that CAIR was therefore not qualified to speak for
loyal American Muslims.
Is it
just us, or does it seem that the only place CAIR can get a positive
mention these days is in their own press releases ?
If so, we think it’s about time.
