CAIR:  Back Pedaling on the “Magnificent Six”?

On 28 March, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), North America’s premier advocate of enhanced civil rights for Islamist terrorists, issued a “CAIR in the News” article.

The article, titled “CAIR:  FALSE REPORTING IS WRONG” is short on fact and long on the sort of “touchy feely” multicultural nonsense that CAIR routinely spouts in defense of religious bigots that look to CAIR to defend their bad behavior on the grounds that CAIR-approved “Muslims” in North America are entitled to “special rights” denied to non-Muslims.

(Let’s not forget that CAIR has appointed itself the sole arbiter of who is and who isn’t a “real” Muslim in North America.)

Item:  “Notwithstanding the fact that the imams had already cleared TSA security and did nothing illegal, they were discriminated against by not being allowed to re-board any subsequent US Airways flights to Phoenix.”

Truth:  Clearing TSA security does not cleanse the soul, grant special rights, nor does it excuse bad behavior.  All passengers, including CAIR-approved “Muslims” are expected to adhere to certain norms of behavior.  Praying loudly, belittling our country and its leaders is a sure way to garner adverse attention.  Needlessly moving about the airliner cabin, asking for clearly unneeded seatbelt extensions and generally making an ass of oneself is also a guaranteed method of attracting unwelcome attention.  As to re-boarding a subsequent US Airways flight to Phoenix, what person in their right mind would want to re-board an airliner belonging to a company that supposedly violated their precious “civil rights”?

Item:  “Another recent case illustrates the absurdity of racial profiling. Last September, a Jewish man was removed from an Air Canada Jazz flight in Montreal for merely praying in his seat. Jewish rabbis criticized the move as insensitive, saying the flight attendants should have explained to other passengers that the man was not doing any harm.”

Truth:  Since when are flight attendants expected to be able to explain the religious practices of every faith on the planet?  Flight attendants are not religious experts; they are there for safety of flight and to assist passengers.  If a person’s faith requires them to perform certain religious practices at certain times and the practitioner cannot or will not deviate from this practice, perhaps they should consider traveling by another mode rather than subject themselves to being scrutinized.

(This begs the question: Since when did air travel become a right?  It should be noted, in this CAIR example, that the person excluded from the flight was not a Muslim, but a Jew.  So much for “Flying while Muslim”?)

Item:  “Reporting suspicious criminal activity to law enforcement authorities does not absolve anyone from the responsibility to be factual. False reporting is criminal. We want to find out whether these "John Does" made other false claims against the imams - not just that they were praying, however ignorant complaining about that might be.  Once allegations are made, it becomes the responsibility of the airline to discern between peaceful prayers and passenger endangerment. Government officials have repeatedly stated that racial profiling is an ineffective law enforcement technique.

Truth:  Now CAIR has really stretched in support of the "Magnificent Six"…  CAIR is insinuating that the lawsuit is going after those passengers who made “false reports” on the behavior of the six.  In particular, those who made “false claims”…as though every person making a report would know exactly what they were reporting; two people viewing the same incident may make two totally different reports.  For instance, a person praying loudly in a foreign language may be viewed by one passenger as totally innocent; to another it may be viewed as a threat.  CAIR wants to peek inside the reporting person’s head for signs of “false reporting”.

CAIR would have better luck finding the truth in the entrails of a dead goat.

This is fact:  Americans have been encouraged to report all "Suspicious Activity".  Once reported, it is up to the authorities to determine its validity and whether or not to act on the information reported.

CAIR is using "legal terrorism" to intimidate the American public. It is now up to the American public to say "ENOUGH" to CAIR and the "Magnificent Six".

What’s next?  Will CAIR suggest that Muslim passengers received special dispensation to terrorize their fellow passengers simply because Muslim culture and traditions are “misunderstood”?  If so, how will we know the Muslim passenger?  Will they wear green crescent armbands to warn off law-enforcement personnel or other concerned citizens?

Better yet, why not just treat every citizen…as a citizen?  History has clearly shown what happens when certain groups in a society are made “more equal” than others.

Shame on us if we allow it to happen in North America.

Anti-CAIR predicts that this case will be dropped by the "Magnificent Six" once they find that the American people simply will not stand for this form of pure, unadulterated, naked intimidation under guise of religious practice.

We further predict that CAIR will drop the "Magnificent Six" just as soon as they realize that this case, like most brought or supported by CAIR, is making CAIR look like what it is:

An Islamist terrorist supporting organization ...
