In Defense of the Constitution
Anti-CAIR Press Release 017/03
July 28, 2003
- Daniel Pipes, Terrorist?
Daniel Pipes, Terrorist?
The Council on American Islamic Relations
(CAIR), issued an “Action Alert”
(#390) calling on President Bush to withdraw the nomination of Dr. Pipes
to the board of the United States Institute of Peace. CAIR, living down
to their reputation for anti-American propaganda, has once again resorted
to form in their attempts to paint Dr. Pipes as an “Islamophobe” and an “extremist.”
Americans have watched as our Commander
in Chief has used force to fight Al-Qaeda terrorists in Afghanistan and
the Islamist terror supporters in Iraq. These are the same people
CAIR would have Americans believe are innocent victims of American imperialism.
We have watched as our President has directed law enforcement authorities
to shut down Islamic front groups in the United States that provide material
support for Islamist terrorists.
The response from CAIR? Accusations that the United
States government is targeting these groups simply because they are Islamic
in nature. Not once in its entire history has CAIR ever admitted that the
United States government has been justified in shutting down an Islamic terror
front group.
The President has spoken eloquently of the
terrorist threat to the United States and has promised that he will live up
to his pledge to “Support and Defend” our Constitution. The response from
CAIR? More verbal attacks on the FBI and other government agencies.
What has CAIR
done for the United States?
Apologized for, and
defended, the Islamist terror attacks of September 11th, 2001.
Opposed every law enforcement initiative to
combat Islamist terrorism.
Defended the Islamist terror bombers in the
first attack on the World Trade Center.
Made clear statements supporting Hamas, a Middle
East based Islamist terror group.
Provided employment to known and suspected
terrorists.
Sponsored several speeches where America and
her citizens are condemned.
Called for the replacement of the United States
government with an Islamist theocracy.
This list could be much, much longer.
The point we wish to make is that CAIR has done absolutely nothing
to help America’s fight against Islamist terror. Why then,
should we take the opinions of the Islamist terrorism-supporting CAIR organization
seriously? What has CAIR ever done to deserve the trust of the American
people? What initiatives has CAIR introduced to reduce the threat of Islamist
terror?
Why would any American
listen to the ranting of this Ameriphobic Islamist hate group?
Why would any American even consider taking
the word of CAIR over the judgment of the President of the United States?
We support our President in the nomination
of Dr. Pipes and encourage our fellow citizens to do the same. It
comes down to this: “Who do you trust?”, the President of the United States,
or the Ameriphobic hate group, CAIR? The one man who has the
best interests of the United States in mind, or one of the many Islamist
hate groups spewing venom at America? The man who stands up for American
ideals, or the organization that puts down American beliefs at every opportunity?
The man who loves America, or the group that would destroy America?
“Who do you trust?”
