Hypocrisy Strikes, Again.  CAIR Continues to Publish False Information.

     On July 27th, the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) issued a statement calling on President Bush to rescind the nomination of Mr. Daniel Pipes to the board of the United States Institute of Peace.  In the statement, CAIR writes:

"CAIR today called on President Bush to withdraw the nomination of Daniel Pipes to the board of the United States Institute of Peace after he was quoted by an online news service as comparing “Islamic people” to “Nazis” and rejecting aid to Afghan civilians.”


     The news service that CAIR referred to is CNSNews.com

     In the retraction, written by Mr. Scott Hogenson, CNSNews.com Executive Editor, the news service corrected statements attributed to Mr. Pipes, explaining that the errors are the result of a review of the audio recording of his speech.  


     CNSNews explains that Mr. Pipes actually said:

“My view is ‘no, there is no good and bad in militant Islam,’ no more than there are good and bad Nazis.”


     Mr. Hogenson continues:

“Pipes did not say U.S. aid to the Afghans is unnecessary, but stated:  “We have no moral responsibility to the Afghans or the Iraqis.  None.  Zero.”  In reference to U.S. aid to Afghanistan and Iraq, Pipes stated: “ I’m not against it in principle… (but) we should do it in the prism of our own interests, not the Iraqs’ or Afghans.”


     ACAIR finds it interesting that, once again, CAIR is quick to condemn and slow to correct the record.  When can we expect CAIR to issue a retraction to their statement?  When will CAIR acknowledge the truth?

     ACAIR sources reveal that Ibrahim Hooper was contacted by CNSNews.com, alerting him to the retraction. CNSNews.com said that in the event of learning of any public official using this erroneous information, they were prepared to contact the official and alert them of the error.

     (ACAIR would like readers to know that as of now, CAIR's link and Action Alert in question have suddenly vanished from their website, with no reference to it having ever existed.)
 




How Many Times Will CAIR Attack Mr. Daniel Pipes?

     A cursory visit to the web site of the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), demonstrates that CAIR is continuing its smear campaign against the nomination of Dr. Daniel Pipes to the US Institute of Peace.  For two months, Americans have watched as CAIR has continued to vilify Dr. Pipes and called on President Bush to drop his nomination. Too late.

     As we celebrate the anticipated appointment of Dr. Pipes to his rightful place on the board of the U.S. Institute of Peace, the lies from CAIR concerning Dr. Pipes continue.

     A recent Associated Press story on CAIR's website gave a quote from Ibrahim Hooper, CAIR spokesperson, on Dr. Pipes:

 "It gave us some encouragement that people are learning about his record, and that when they learn about his record, they don't like what they see,"

     We have to ask ourselves, what is it about Dr. Pipes that worries CAIR?  What has this man done to attract such hatred from CAIR? 

      Dr. Pipes taught himself Arabic, has done extensive research on radical Islam and warned the country several months before 9-11 that an attack was possible.  How does this disqualify Dr. Pipes?  

"This is an individual that is a lightning rod, highly controversial," (said one senator)... "When he talks about Muslims being funny looking, bringing different customs, I am sorry, this is not the person that ought to be on the U.S. Institute of Peace board..."

      Dr. Pipes of course, never said any of these things, however, they are clear examples of propagandized "talking points" CAIR provides officials when slandering Dr. Pipes. We will not have to wait long before we see other misquotes and lies (such as the CNSNews.com event), being used as additional talking points when refering to Dr. Pipes. CAIR will never acknowledge any truth about Dr. Pipes.

     Consider:  Dr. Pipes warned Americans several months before the attacks and was largely ignored. He has provided extensive background on radical Islam and spoken before the Congress of our country on many occasions regarding the threat of radical Islam.  

     What has CAIR done?

       a.  Opposed the arrest/conviction of every single Muslim arrested or sentenced for terrorism crimes against the people of the United States.

       b.  Actively supports Hamas.

       c.  Raises money to defend terrorism suspects.

       d.  Claims that Islam is the only valid religion in the U.S.

       e.  Joins in frivolous lawsuits designed to impede the fight against Islamist terror.



    ACAIR invites all Americans to read into the activities of CAIR and see for themselves whether CAIR is truly an “Islamic civil rights” group, or just a slick front for Islamist terror.  

     ACAIR is confident that after careful review of ALL the facts, Dr. Pipes is not only the very best candidate for the U.S. Institute of Peace, he is a man who truly loves his country and wants nothing but the best for ALL Americans, regardless of their religious beliefs.

 




ACAIRs View

     In the short time ACAIR has been around, we recognize that we have only begun to scratch the surface in finding out the truth about the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR).  We’ve learned that CAIR hates America and every decent thing that Americans stand for.

    CAIR uses our Constitution as a shield to attack our government, police, and military forces. CAIR has no respect for American values or traditions…how else to explain Mr. Nihad Awads’ (Executive Director, CAIR) statement: “I am in support of the Hamas movement ”?  How else to excuse acts of terrorism as “misunderstandings of both sides” ?

     At the birth of our country, Americans fought from Lexington to Concord, on through victory at Yorktown…In 1812, we fought a second war that further defended our sovereignty.  From 1861 to 1865 our fledgling nation was torn apart as brother fought brother in the Civil War… In the 20th century, we fought two World Wars and two wars in Asia.  

     Our point? Americans have always stood ready to defend themselves when under attack from all enemies, foreign and domestic.  Many is the time when Americans have been called upon to defend the defenseless and we’ve always stepped up, stood tall and done our duty.

     We now find ourselves fighting a new enemy.  An enemy that mocks us as they hide behind our Constitution; an enemy, entrenched and protected by a phalanx of attorneys and sycophants, ready to pounce at the first sign of our weakness; an enemy that demands that the police power of the state defend their “rights”, but would deny these same rights to other Americans; an enemy that accepts funding and support from foreign countries that support terrorists - who come to our shores to seek out and murder us; an enemy who demands nothing less than the destruction of the very Constitution that they hide behind.

     We now live with the Council on American Islamic Relations, a suspected front group for the Hamas terrorist organization. We live with the America-bashing of Mr. Ibrahim Hooper and his fellow bigots who hide behind the peaceful religion of Islam and spread their propaganda. We listen to Islamist cowards demand respect for their brand of Wahhabi Islam in the United States.

     We don’t listen to the ranting of Osama Bin Laden, why must we listen to the provocative, insulting statements of Mr. Nihad Awad?  “I support Hamas!”, indeed you do, Mr. Awad and "thank you" for reminding us.

     Americans, being the most tolerant people on Earth, accept concepts and notions that other nations wouldn’t even consider.  Let us ask ourselves. “Would a Muslim country accept a religious non-Islamic group in their country?”  Will the day ever come when Saudi Arabia welcomes the Catholic Church to Mecca?  Will we ever see a synagogue in Medina?  

     And yet, we allow the Saudis, through their bought and paid for terrorist supporters at CAIR, open numerous branches in America to “protect” the civil rights of Muslims in America.  

     Let there be no doubt that CAIR is a terrorist supporting front organization that is partially funded by terrorists, and that CAIR wishes nothing more than the implementation of Sharia law in America.

     In all of our wars, we have never knowingly allowed enemy front groups to operate in our country.  Our President, the leader of our government, the Commander in Chief of the armed forces, has repeatedly told us we are at war with terrorism;  let’s take him at his word and demand that Islamist terror front groups in America be shut down…starting with CAIR.

   Earlier today in Israel, (8/12/03) two separate attacks  - one at a bus stop and one at a mall, were carried out by Palestinian suicide bombers.

    Hamas, the terrorist group that is dedicated to the eradication of Israel as a state, claimed responsibility for the second attack, at the bus stop near the entrance to Ariel, a large Jewish settlement in the West Bank, east of Tel Aviv.

    Nihad Awad, the Executive Director for the Council on American-Islamic Relations, was quoted as saying "I am in support of the Hamas movement," clearly telling the world that CAIR supports the Hamas organization.

    ACAIR once again reminds our readers that CAIR is still supporting Hamas, and they have yet to publicly announce anything to the contrary. CAIR acts behind a mask of deception, claiming they are a "muslim civil rights group" when in fact they are terrorist sympathizers and supporters.

    ACAIR wonders why so many top leaders of CAIR moved to America, some to become naturalized citizens, and create an organization that openly supports terrorists?  What is their true purpose?  What does this mean for Americans?
