CAIR: Double Standard in Lebanon?
On Friday, 14 July, the Council on
American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) called
on President Bush to demand of Israel that the Israelis allow the
US to evacuate American citizens from Lebanon.
Additionally, CAIR called on the US State
Department to issue an advisory to U.S. citizens in the Israeli armed
forces that they risk violating the Neutrality Act by taking part in
attacks on a friendly nation.
Why didn’t CAIR call for a cease fire by the
Islamic terrorists of Hezbollah, Hamas, and the other assorted Muslim
terrorist groups?
Why is the cease-fire call only applicable to
Israel?
This must be very embarrassing for CAIR.
To be, again, backing losers.
As to CAIR’s call for enforcing the
“Neutrality Act”; perhaps CAIR hasn’t read the act? The act only
calls for restrictions in the event of declared war…Muslim terrorists are stateless,
how can they declare war; what civilized country would recognize
such a declaration?
…and why is CAIR standing up for terrorists?
On July 11, 2003, ACAIR
brought you the
story of Randall Royer, a CAIR official who was arrested on Islamic
terrorism related charges.
One of the charges against this serving CAIR
official was that he violated the
Neutrality Act. (Royer later
copped a plea to a lesser charge and is now serving a too-short 20 year
sentence.) ACAIR finds it interesting
that CAIR brought up the Neutrality Act now and we believe CAIR is
miffed because Americans fighting for Israel are not being
prosecuted.
CAIR, once again, doesn’t know the law and is
simply outraged because one
of their own is rotting in jail.
We remind our readers that Americans have
traditionally volunteered to serve in allied countries during time of
war when the US was neutral. The famous “Eagle Squadron” of WWII,
along with the “Flying Tigers” are two examples that precede
volunteering for the Israeli armed forces.
Would CAIR like to tell any brave veteran
“Eagles” or “Flying Tigers” that they violated the Neutrality
Act?
CAIR has once
again risen in defense of the indefensible ...
