CAIR: Sponsoring Hate Speech
On Monday, 28 August, the Council
on American-Islamic Relations(CAIR), a Washington, D.C. based Islamic
hate group, sponsored a
forum
at the National Press Club. Invited to speak were the
University of Chicago’s political scientist John Mearsheimer and
Stephen Walt of Harvard’s Kennedy School.
During this disgusting display of
anti-American rhetoric, members of the congress had their surnames
altered to resemble Germanic names, the “Jewish lobby” was vilified,
and prominent Jewish members of the administration were gratuitously
insulted.
Why?
Why would CAIR, which calls itself a “Muslim
civil rights group”, associate itself with two so-called “scholars”
whose main talent seems to be bashing Jews?
Both speakers seemed to imply that America was
threatened by Islamic terrorism due to America’s support for
Israel. To put this in the
proper context, the best way to protect Americans from Islamic terror
would be to surrender
to Islamic terrorism.
This is what CAIR supports?
Selected comments from Nihad Awad’s (CAIR’s
executive director) opening comments:
“American's Middle East
policy should be based on our nation's interests,
not on those of a powerful domestic lobby for a foreign government.”
“It is possible for
people in the Middle East and the larger Muslim world to regain
their respect for America and to view as credible our nation's call for
democracy and human rights.”
CAIR, with proven ties to Islamic terrorism
and Islamic terrorists, presumes to lecture Americans about
our Middle East policy; essentially stating that it is unfair for
America to treat Islamic terrorists differently than we do the Israeli
government.
CAIR recently accepted
50 million dollars (US) from the UAE; how can CAIR credibly
claim that this massive cash infusion will not influence CAIR’s
viewpoint? Islamic governments are not in the habit of providing
funds to American groups unless they are receiving good value for their
money.
As to condemnation of the “domestic
lobby”? It can be credibly argued that CAIR is a wholly-owned
subsidiary of the UAE and they presume to lecture us about “powerful
domestic lobbies”?
Does CAIR’s idea of promoting Islam include
anti-American hate speech? CAIR, the lapdogs of Islamic extremism
in North America is once again clearly demonstrating its hatred of
America.
As to the call for “respect for America”;
since when did any American
call for respect from Islamic terrorists…and just why would we want that respect
...?
