CAIR:
Apologizing for Another Muslim Terrorist
On Friday, 8 September, the Council on
American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) posted an article on its web site
titled “CAIR: IN U.S. VISIT, IRAN 'S KHATAMI URGES DIALOGUE”.
The article states that former
Iranian
President Khatami has called for a “dialogue of civilizations”
among
Jews, Christians, and Muslims…while scolding the Bush administration
for its treatment
of detainees and other alleged human rights abuses.
CAIR spokesman, Ibrahim Hooper, apparently
agreed that there is a need for dialogue,
“Most Americans don't
want a repeat of the Iraq fiasco …
the way to prevent that is to listen to each other."
Left unsaid is why would any civilized country
have any desire to negotiate with the uncivilized barbarians currently
occupying the seat of government in Iran. Did we not learn from
Munich that you cannot negotiate in good faith with a government that
has no
respect for human rights or international
norms of behaviour?
For any American administration to sit down
and discuss any issue with the current Iranian regime is an insult to
the dead soldiers who sacrificed so much defending our country in Iraq,
Afghanistan, and the Balkans.
No. It is time for America to stand
with
our allies and dictate terms to the Iranian government.
Terms
that include ending Iran’s nuclear program, stopping the flow of arms
to Islamic (and other) terrorist groups, and cutting off funding to
anti-Western groups.
Let us hope
that CAIR’s call for “dialogue” is met with the closed fist it deserves
